Wizz Air from Katowice: New and Restored Flights and Reductions
Wizz Air, the Hungarian low-cost carrier, has announced changes to its flight network from Katowice. In the second half of June, the number of flights to Reykjavik and Kutaisi will increase, while flights to Copenhagen will decrease.
Currently, Wizz Air operates two weekly flights between Katowice and the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik, on Mondays and Fridays. Starting from June 19, the carrier will add a third flight on Wednesdays. The new flight schedule will be as follows:
Katowice - Reykjavik:
- W61167 Katowice 17:15 – 19:35 Reykjavik (Mondays, Fridays)
- W61167 Katowice 6:15 – 8:35 Reykjavik (Wednesdays)
- W61168 Reykjavik 20:15 – 2:20 Katowice (Mondays, Fridays)
- W61168 Reykjavik 9:15 – 15:20 Katowice (Wednesdays)
The number of flights to Kutaisi in Georgia will also increase. Currently, the carrier offers two weekly flights – on Tuesdays and Saturdays. From June 21, a third flight will be added on Fridays. The new schedule is as follows:
Katowice - Kutaisi:
- W61281 Katowice 17:35 – 22:55 Kutaisi (Tuesdays, Saturdays)
- W61281 Katowice 6:30 – 11:50 Kutaisi (Fridays)
- W61282 Kutaisi 23:30 – 1:00 Katowice (Tuesdays, Saturdays)
- W61282 Kutaisi 12:25 – 13:55 Katowice (Fridays)
Simultaneously, Wizz Air will reduce the number of flights to Copenhagen. Currently, flights between Katowice and the capital of Denmark operate four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In the second half of June, Sunday rotations will be withdrawn. Until the end of the summer season, flights will operate according to the following schedule:
Katowice - Copenhagen:
- W61211 Katowice 6:35 – 8:05 Copenhagen (Mondays, Fridays)
- W61211 Katowice 20:45 – 22:15 Copenhagen (Wednesdays)
- W61212 Copenhagen 8:35 – 10:00 Katowice (Mondays, Fridays)
- W61212 Copenhagen 22:45 – 0:10 Katowice (Wednesdays)
With the start of the winter season, Wizz Air will restore the current frequency of flights on all three routes. Additionally, the connection from Katowice to Tel Aviv will return to the schedule.
