New LOT Routes: Reykjavik, Thessaloniki, and Malta
In recent weeks, LOT Polish Airlines has gradually announced new routes for 2025. Each destination has previously been highlighted individually, and now we bring them together to summarize three exciting additions to LOT’s network.
Direct Flights to Iceland
From April 12, 2025, LOT will launch direct flights from Warsaw to Reykjavik. These flights will operate four times a week during the summer season and three times weekly in winter, providing convenient access to a country renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. The flight will take approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes, with slight adjustments in winter timings.
Iceland, known as the "Land of Fire and Ice," captivates visitors with its unique charm. Geysers, glaciers, hot springs, and majestic waterfalls attract nature lovers from around the globe. Reykjavik, vibrant and cultural, offers landmarks such as the iconic Hallgrímskirkja Church and the futuristic Harpa Concert Hall.
This new route is not only a convenience for travelers but also a boost to Polish-Icelandic relations. The direct connection will facilitate both short trips and extended explorations of the island.
Daily Flights to Thessaloniki
On June 17, 2025, LOT will launch a Warsaw–Thessaloniki route, with daily flights during summer and four weekly flights in winter. With a flight time of just 2 hours and 20 minutes, it’s an ideal choice for both quick getaways and longer holidays.
Thessaloniki enchants with its blend of rich history and modern energy. Attractions include the White Tower, offering stunning views of the Thermaic Gulf, and the Byzantine Church of Saint Demetrius. Its proximity to the Chalkidiki Peninsula makes Thessaloniki a perfect base for beach enthusiasts and the clear waters of the Aegean Sea.
Introducing this connection highlights LOT’s focus on offering attractive destinations for both tourists and business travelers. Thessaloniki’s increased accessibility will undoubtedly attract more visitors.
Year-Round Flights to Malta
Starting April 16, 2025, passengers will have access to direct flights to Malta (located 5.6 km from Valletta), offered four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The schedule caters to various travel needs, providing both afternoon and morning flights.
Malta is a subtropical paradise that draws tourists with its climate, picturesque landscapes, and millennia of history. It’s a perfect destination for those seeking relaxation and for history enthusiasts uncovering the traces of ancient civilizations.
The new route benefits Maltese residents as well, offering them seamless access to LOT’s broad network of European and international destinations via Warsaw.
These three new routes mark another step in LOT’s strategic development, expanding travel opportunities for its passengers. From Iceland's geothermal wonders to Thessaloniki’s cultural wealth and Malta's sunny allure, these destinations showcase diversity and the chance to explore extraordinary places.
