The inaugural flight to Reykjavik-Keflavík International Airport is scheduled for April 12, 2025. In the winter season, the frequency will decrease to three flights per week. Each flight will take approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes to Iceland and 4 hours on the return journey. Minor adjustments in flight times are planned for winter, where flights may be extended by 15 and 5 minutes, respectively.
Iceland, often referred to as the "land of fire and ice," captivates visitors from around the globe with its extraordinary charm. The country’s unique landscape offers a plethora of wonders, including geysers, glaciers, hot springs, and majestic waterfalls. Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the island. The city boasts numerous attractions, such as the iconic Hallgrímskirkja Church, the futuristic Harpa Concert Hall, and cozy cafes that invite relaxation.
The new LOT connection is not only a convenience for tourists but also a significant step in strengthening Polish-Icelandic relations. Iceland is becoming an increasingly popular destination for Poles, and the direct flights will reduce travel time and improve accessibility to this exceptional location. This decision aligns with LOT’s broader strategy of expanding its network to include attractive destinations for both tourists and business travelers.
Thanks to this initiative, trips to Iceland will become easier and more comfortable. It will accommodate quick weekend getaways as well as longer explorations of the island. The offer of flights to Reykjavik is likely to appeal to nature enthusiasts, photography lovers, and adventure seekers looking for unique experiences in a one-of-a-kind destination.
