Air France's new standard of travel: comfortable cabins and technological innovations
Air France's New Cabins
Air France continues the process of implementing a new travel standard in its long-haul fleet, combining the highest level of comfort with technological amenities. Passengers in Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy on selected Boeing 777-300ERs are already enjoying the latest cabins.
A350 with New Seats and Larger Screens
Since July 2023, the cabins have been gradually installed in the latest fleet of 21 Airbus A350 aircraft. The Airbus A350s will be equipped not only with new comfortable seats but also with numerous technological innovations - the widest screen in the entire Air France fleet, a large touchscreen for easy browsing of the onboard entertainment in Business Class, and new pairing options allowing passengers to connect personal devices to the seat's system in all cabins.
Business Class Cabin
The design of each of the 48 new Business Class seats is based on the concept of 3 x P: Full Flat, Full Privacy, and Full Freedom. This means that the seats recline to a perfectly flat level, creating a nearly two-meter-long bed (full flat), with soft padding, 53 cm in width. Secondly, the specific shape of the seat and the new sliding doors provide a zone of excellent privacy (full privacy), creating a discreet, individual space for rest or work during the flight. The third important element, highly valued by travelers, is the full freedom of movement on board. Thanks to the thoughtful arrangement of seats in the cabin, everyone has easy access to the aisle between rows without disturbing the peace of fellow passengers.

Business Class comfort & convenience
Business Class passengers entering the aircraft are welcomed by an illuminated emblem in the form of a winged seahorse, which refers to the rich history of the airline. The large cabin windows have electronic blinds, allowing passengers to independently adjust the light intensity during the flight. Caring for the comfort and aesthetic impressions of its customers, the airline carefully selected high-quality, noble materials to create an elegant and cozy interior. Woolen fabrics, cowhide leather, brushed aluminum, and the embroidered emblem of the company on each seat emphasize the French art of travel - style and attention to detail. Each Business Class seat has a personal small compartment, which accommodates high-quality noise-canceling headphones and a cosmetic mirror. This is an excellent place to store handy items needed for travel. The second compartment, located at the foot of the seat, can be used to conveniently store small travel accessories. Seats in the first row of the Business Class cabin have an additional, comfortable space in front of the seat and a personal wardrobe with a mirror and additional luggage compartment.
This unique seat was specially designed for Air France. It was created by STELIA Aerospace - a commercial brand belonging to Airbus Atlantic, which designs aircraft cabin interiors, in collaboration with designer Marek Collins from Design Investment, in cooperation with SGK Brandimage, a company responsible for advising on design and branding.
Technological Innovations in Business Class
Air France continuously strives for the highest travel standard in Business Class, also in terms of technology available on board. The latest seat is equipped with a wide, 20-inch 4K Ultra High-Definition screen with an anti-glare coating. This is the largest screen available in the wide-body Air France fleet. Using the modern next-generation graphical interface, passengers have access to 1500 hours of onboard entertainment. Thanks to the new Bluetooth connection, passengers can use their own headphones to access resources such as movies and music. The new touchscreen allows passengers to browse the entertainment selection and easily control the seat environment - from adjusting the seating position to adjusting the lighting intensity. Additionally, passengers have access to the "do not disturb" function, which informs the crew when a passenger wants to rest. Each seat in the Business Class cabin is equipped with electrical outlets and USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless induction charging, as well as onboard Wi-Fi, which is available throughout the aircraft. Additionally, travelers have a new feature that allows them to connect their personal device (smartphone) to the seat screen and use it as a remote control. With the smartphone paired with the aircraft system, passengers can browse the onboard entertainment catalog or interactive map while selected content is displayed on the main screen.

Kabina Premium Economy
The Premium Economy cabin on the Airbus A350 accommodates 32 seats, which were also designed by Collins Aerospace. In this cabin, Air France offers a completely new type of reclining seats, which are already equipped on the first of the delivered Airbus A350s and 12 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
New Seats in Premium Economy
Each seat, with an expanded seat width of 48 cm and a reclining backrest of up to 121 degrees, offers increased legroom, which measures 94 cm. In addition, the seat has undergone several additional improvements, significantly affecting comfort. Firstly, the seat cushions have been redesigned to be softer and extend to the shoulder level. Secondly, the seats have gained a new, elegantly finished upholstery in navy blue. Thirdly, the headrest is subject to a 4-step adjustment. Additionally, in the Premium Economy cabin, the headphones have been replaced, now featuring noise-canceling functionality and integrated with the seat for easier use at any time during the flight. The seat also has an individual reading light, USB-A and USB-C ports, and plenty of space for storing carry-on luggage.
Economy Cabin
The Economy cabin on the Airbus A350 is equipped with 212 seats, which were developed in collaboration with Safran Seats. The seats in this cabin also meet the highest standards on the market in terms of passenger comfort. Additionally, travelers now have access to a personal smartphone or tablet holder integrated with the seat back and two USB ports - type C and A.
4K Ultra High-Definition Monitors in Premium Economy and Economy
Both the Premium Economy and Economy cabins have been equipped with new individual 4K Ultra High-Definition monitors measuring 13.3 inches with a special anti-glare coating. Thanks to the Bluetooth connection also available in the Economy cabin, passengers can use their own headphones when receiving onboard entertainment. The new feature also allows passengers to directly connect their smartphone to the seat screen and use it as a remote control for content on the main screen.
Wi-Fi in All Cabins
In all cabins of the new Airbus A350, passengers have access to onboard Wi-Fi as part of the Air France Connect offer. Three Internet access packages are available, including the free "Message" option, which allows passengers to use popular messengers and browse content related to their flight and layovers.
