Ethiopian Airlines will connect Warsaw with Ethiopia.
In the upcoming summer, Ethiopian Airlines, as the first regular carrier from Africa at Chopin Airport, plans to launch connections between Warsaw and Addis Ababa. Chopin Airport has designated this route as strategic, expecting significant interest both among travelers between these two cities and passengers using transfers.
As a member of the Star Alliance since 2011, Ethiopian Airlines boasts advanced aircraft in its fleet, such as Airbus A350s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which will soon be seen at Warsaw's airport. This marks a step toward enhancing the offerings for travelers on this route.
Addis Ababa, situated at an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters above sea level, stands as one of the highest airports globally. This unique location opens up new perspectives for travel to this African destination. Chopin Airport, anticipating the forecasted traffic, expects to handle around 18 million passengers in the current fiscal year ending in June 2024. Introducing the Ethiopian Airlines connection could significantly impact the development of passenger traffic and cargo transport.
