LOT Resumes Flights from Warsaw to Athens
LOT Polish Airlines resumes flights from Warsaw to Athens starting today. The connection is year-round, with daily flights to the Greek capital.
This marks the national carrier's return to this route after a hiatus since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flight schedule has been set with departures from Warsaw at 9:30 AM and return flights from Athens at 2:10 PM, arriving back in Warsaw at 3:45 PM. The journey duration is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes outbound and 2 hours and 35 minutes inbound.
Various aircraft, including Embraer 195s, Boeing 737-800s, and 737 MAX 8s, will serve the route, operating seven days a week.
Krzysztof Moczulski, the spokesperson for LOT Polish Airlines, highlights Greece's popularity among Polish travelers and emphasizes the benefits of the resumed connection for both tourism and business purposes. He also notes the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, facilitating easier travel and fostering trade and cultural relations.
These Athens flights are part of LOT's summer schedule expansion, which also includes flights to Tashkent since March and upcoming services to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, starting June 4th, operating three times a week. This expansion provides travelers with more options and enhances international connectivity.
