One Year of Passport Office Operations at Chopin Airport in Warsaw
The MSWiA passport office at Chopin Airport in Warsaw has been in operation for almost a year. Since its opening on April 20, 2023, nearly 15,000 people have used the temporary passport service. This reflects significant interest in the service, particularly during the summer months.
The highest number of temporary passports was issued in July 2023—1,894 in total. Subsequent months also saw considerable numbers of issued documents, with August 2023 leading with 1,846 passports. The record-breaking day was Friday, January 12, 2024, when 131 documents were issued.
Passengers most frequently traveled with a temporary passport to the United Kingdom, Egypt, Turkey, Italy, and Spain. The passport office proved beneficial for travelers who needed to obtain a document quickly.
