New Service at Gdańsk Airport: Temporary Passport Issuance

Nowa usługa na lotnisku w Gdańsku: Możliwość wyrobienia paszportu tymczasowego

Gdańsk Airport will introduce a new service for travelers – the ability to obtain a temporary passport. Gdańsk will become the second airport in Poland to offer this service, following Chopin Airport in Warsaw. The launch is planned for this summer, although the exact date is not yet known. According to Krzysztof Niemierko from the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office, the passport point is expected to start operating in July or August.

To obtain a temporary passport at the airport, travelers will need to meet several conditions. They must have a valid airline ticket. Additionally, the service will be available to those who have lost their passport or ID, had them stolen, found they are expired, or forgot them before traveling. The new point aims to increase the availability of this service for residents of Pomerania and to relieve the passport point in Warsaw. Details regarding the operation of the Gdańsk airport passport point are still being developed. At Chopin Airport, the point is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and the cost of obtaining the document is 30 PLN.
