Qatar Airways Secures the ‘Airline of the Year’ Title from Skytrax for the Eighth Time

Qatar Airways, a renowned 5-star carrier, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Airline of the Year’ title by Skytrax, marking its return to the top for an unprecedented eighth time. This distinction underscores the airline’s unwavering commitment to excellence. Additionally, Qatar Airways received three other esteemed awards: ‘World's Best Business Class’, ‘World's Best Business Class Airline Lounge’, and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.
Hamad International Airport, the home and hub of Qatar Airways, was named ‘World’s Best Airport’ in 2024 by Skytrax for the third time. The airport also secured the title of ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ for the tenth time, and its retail division, Qatar Duty Free, was awarded ‘World's Best Airport Shopping’ for the second consecutive year. This remarkable achievement marks the first time in Skytrax history that an airline, an airport, and the airport’s retail have been crowned as the ‘World’s Best’ in all three categories simultaneously.
This year marks the eighth time since 2011 that Qatar Airways has been awarded the Airline of the Year title. The Skytrax World Airline Awards, widely regarded as the ‘Oscars of the aviation industry’, represent the pinnacle of excellence in aviation.
