Japan Gains Popularity Among Asian Destinations
Japan is a destination that has been gaining increasing popularity in recent years. This Asian country captivates with its diversity, exotic nature, and intriguing history. To Japan with Lufthansa Group
Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS will offer up to 30 flights a week to Tokyo and Osaka in the summer 2024 schedule. Flights will be operated to Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka, Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND), and Narita International Airport (NRT).
Kansai International Airport (KIX) is located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, about 50 km from the center of Osaka. It is the main airport serving the Kansai region, which includes Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. The airport is known for its modern architecture and efficient infrastructure and is an important hub for both international and domestic flights.
Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) - Haneda Airport, officially known as Tokyo International Airport, is one of the two main airports serving Tokyo. Located closer to the city center than Narita, Haneda is one of the busiest airports in the world in terms of passenger numbers. It handles both domestic and international flights and is valued for its convenience and proximity to central Tokyo.
Narita International Airport (NRT) - Narita Airport is located about 60 km east of central Tokyo. It is the second main airport serving Japan's capital. Narita is also a major hub for international connections from Europe, America, and other parts of Asia. The airport has extensive infrastructure for travelers, such as service points, hotels, restaurants, and shops.
Flight Schedule
Flights to Japan on Lufthansa Group aircraft will be operated according to the following schedule:

- Frankfurt–Tokyo-Haneda (HND): daily with Lufthansa

- Zurich–Tokyo-Narita (NRT): 5 times a week with SWISS
