AirBaltic launches a new route from Rzeszów to Riga

Starting on October 28, AirBaltic will launch a new route connecting Rzeszów to Riga, with flights operating twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

This move is part of the airline's broader strategy to re-enter the Polish market after a few years of absence. In May, AirBaltic began flights from Kraków to Vilnius, but the new route from Podkarpacie may come as a surprise, as it does not involve Poland's largest airports.

The choice of Rzeszów is not accidental. The city's location near the Ukrainian border holds strategic importance. Thomas Ramdahl, AirBaltic's Vice President of Network Management, emphasized that the airline aims not only to strengthen its presence in Poland but also to support Ukrainian citizens in their travels across Europe.

It's worth noting that this autumn, Rzeszów will be the only Polish airport served by AirBaltic, as the Kraków-Vilnius route is seasonal and will cease operations at the end of October.
