A new air connection from Bydgoszcz to Frankfurt am Main will be launched on April 27, 2025. This route marks a breakthrough in international flight accessibility for residents of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. The direct flights, operated by the German airline Lufthansa, will run five times a week, providing passengers with a fast and comfortable way to reach one of Europe’s most important transit hubs. As a global aviation hub, Frankfurt offers an extensive network of connections to all continents, significantly reducing travel time and making trip planning more convenient.

The local government, as the main stakeholder in Bydgoszcz Airport, has long sought a partnership with Lufthansa to enable the region’s residents to access a global flight network. There are also plans to facilitate transfers through a partnership between Lufthansa and Polish Airlines LOT, allowing passengers to travel seamlessly with tickets from both carriers. This coordinated effort provides substantial convenience, especially for long-distance journeys requiring efficient international connections.

Flights from Frankfurt to Bydgoszcz will depart at 12:30 p.m., and from Bydgoszcz to Frankfurt at 2:35 p.m., with each trip lasting approximately an hour and a half. Scheduled flights on weekdays and Sundays are designed to meet the needs of both business travelers and tourists. Tickets for the new route are already available on the carrier’s website, allowing residents of the region to plan their travel now and take advantage of the opportunities this new connection brings. Flights are operated with CRJ-900 jets.
