New destinations in KLM's global network
Fly with KLM to San Diego, Hyderabad, and Georgetown
KLM continues to expand its intercontinental network. Starting in the summer of 2025, the Dutch airline will offer three new direct routes from Amsterdam. The first new route will be flights to San Diego, United States. KLM will begin operating this connection on May 8, 2025. San Diego will become KLM's 22nd destination in North America. The second planned addition will be Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana and KLM’s fourth destination in India. Flights to Hyderabad will start on September 2, 2025. Lastly, on June 4, 2025, KLM will commence flights to Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. Flights to Georgetown will include a stopover on the island of Sint Maarten. With these new routes, KLM strengthens its position as a leading global airline, offering customers a wide range of destinations and connections to rapidly developing regions.
To sunny San Diego with KLM
San Diego is California's second-largest city (after Los Angeles), known for its mild climate, diverse landscapes, and stunning sunsets, especially along its 100 km-long coastline. Georgetown – The Caribbean Garden
Georgetown is the capital and largest city of Guyana, yet remains very green and rich in natural beauty. Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America, is still relatively undiscovered by tourists. It is one of the rare places where nature can still be found in its pristine form, with an attractive coastline, lush rainforests, and savannas. Recently, Guyana’s economy has experienced strong growth, especially due to oil production. Flights from Amsterdam to Georgetown, with a short stop on Sint Maarten, will begin on June 4, 2025. Passengers can choose from two weekly flights—on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The route will be served by an Airbus A330-200, offering 18 seats in World Business Class and 246 in Economy Class. The flight schedule for the Amsterdam-Georgetown-Amsterdam route is as follows: * KL789: Departs Amsterdam (Schiphol) at 10:00, lands in Sint Maarten at 13:00, then departs Sint Maarten at 14:20 and arrives in Georgetown at 16:35 * KL789: Departs Georgetown at 17:55, arrives in Amsterdam at 09:15 the following day.
Hyderabad – India’s Pharmaceutical Capital
Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana, is also known as the “Pharmaceutical Capital of India” due to the presence of over 800 companies in the sector located in and around the city. Additionally, many American and European IT companies have offices here. But vibrant Hyderabad is not only a business destination. This metropolis, named the greenest city in the world two years ago, boasts numerous parks and offers fascinating architectural and artistic landmarks. A must-see is the city’s symbol, the Charminar, also known as the “Triumphal Arch of the East,” and the Mecca Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world. The inaugural flight to Hyderabad is planned for September 2, 2025, with three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays). The route will be served by a Boeing 777-200ER, offering 35 seats in World Business Class, 24 in Premium Comfort, and 229 in Economy Class.
