Polish Airlines LOT is preparing for a record summer season. From March 30 to October, the airline plans to operate 15,467 domestic flights, offering passengers nearly 1.57 million seats on its aircraft. This is an increase of 7.8% compared to the previous year. The busiest routes will traditionally be between Warsaw and Kraków, as well as flights to and from Wrocław and Gdańsk.

Which domestic routes does LOT operate?

Polish Airlines offers travelers an extensive network of domestic connections. On board the national carrier, passengers can reach 10 airports across the country. From Chopin Airport in Warsaw, flights are available to Kraków (John Paul II Kraków-Balice Airport), Gdańsk (Lech Wałęsa Airport), Wrocław (Wrocław-Copernicus Airport), Katowice (Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport), Poznań (Poznań-Ławica Airport), Rzeszów (Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport), Szczecin (Szczecin-Goleniów Airport named after NSZZ "Solidarity"), Bydgoszcz (Bydgoszcz-Szwederowo Airport), Lublin (Lublin Airport), and Zielona Góra (Zielona Góra-Babimost Airport).

Most flights to Kraków and Wrocław

The highest capacity will be allocated to the route to the capital of Lesser Poland. To Kraków, LOT has scheduled 2,569 flights, allowing over 315,000 passengers to travel. The Warsaw–Wrocław connection is also highly popular, where despite the same number of operations, an increase in aircraft capacity has raised the number of available seats to over 273,000. In the summer season, flights to Wrocław and Kraków will be among the 10 busiest routes operated from Chopin Airport. These routes will be ranked alongside Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna, Copenhagen, Munich, and Antalya.

More seats on flights to Rzeszów, Gdańsk, and Poznań

A dynamic increase is also seen in the connection with Rzeszów, where seat availability will grow by 35%, although the total number of flights will decrease by seven. The Warsaw–Gdańsk route will include 2,398 operations, offering up to 244,000 seats. Meanwhile, passengers traveling to Poznań will benefit from 1,916 flights, adding 329 more operations compared to last year. To and from Szczecin, the airline will operate 1,502 flights, offering 127,484 seats.

Slightly lower demand has been recorded on the Katowice route, where the number of flights will decrease by 12%, and seat availability will drop by 15%. The fewest operations are planned for the Bydgoszcz connection – 366 flights and 30,000 available seats.

Overall, during the summer season, Chopin Airport will handle over 123,000 passenger operations. Domestic flights operated by LOT will account for 12.54% of the total air traffic in Warsaw, emphasizing their significant role in the national carrier's network.
