LOT will suspend the route to Los Angeles for 2 months
LOT has once again made the decision to suspend its longest route to the USA. This time, the flight hiatus will last for 2 months, precisely from February 1st to March 31st, 2024. The carrier justifies this decision with the "need to optimize the network of connections for commercial and operational reasons."
The route from Warsaw to Los Angeles is the longest route to the United States offered by the carrier. Especially during the summer season, it enjoys very good occupancy rates, and it's worth noting that the airline operates flights to California every day. However, in the winter season, the frequency of flights on this route is reduced, currently operating only twice a week. According to information provided by the Aeroroutes service, flights to California will be suspended from February 1st to March 31st. LOT confirmed this information, adding that flights from Warsaw to Los Angeles will resume on April 1st.
This decision may affect the plans of travelers, especially those who were planning to travel to California in the spring. However, the carrier assures that this is a necessary step for operational and commercial optimization. LOT customers can expect the resumption of regular flights on their beloved route from April, marking a return to regular rotation between Poland and the United States
